Amager Strandpark is conveniently located within cycling distance from the city center and is easily accessible by metro. This urban oasis offers a lagoon, city park, and a variety of activities year-round. The lagoon is perfect for young swimmers and provides a safe environment for those looking to learn windsurfing. You can take lessons at Copenhagen Surf School and master the waves in no time!
Opened in 2005, the new section of the park features an extended coastline shaped like an artificial island spanning the entire 2-kilometer width of the park. Designed by the architectural firm Hasløv & Kjærsgaard, Amager Strandpark is as much a beautiful park as it is a pristine sandy beach.
